The Power Grid Corporation of India is offering 110 posts of Assistant Engineer Trainee. The AET’s will receive a remuneration of ₹ 40,000-1,40,000 at the Power Grid Corporation of India. This will depend upon the merit and experience of the candidate applying for the PGCIL AET.

The selection process for AET will have GATE 2019 score review and interview. The candidates will be chosen as per their merit at PGCIL. The successful candidates in the Assistant Engineer Trainee post will be placed in various locations throughout all India in various Power Grid Corporation of India facilities.

Qualifications for PGCIL Assistant Engineer Trainee

The candidates appearing for the post of AET at the Power Grid Corporation of India must have at least B.E./B.Tech. It is preferable if the candidate is experienced.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria for PGCIL Vacancies 2020

  • Full Time B.E./B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in relevant Engineering discipline 

OR 

  • equivalent from recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks 

AND 

  • Valid Score in the GATE 2019.

All candidates applying for Assistant Engineer Trainee will need to respect the age limit of  28 years. All ages are calculated as on 31st December 2019.

Important Information on PGCIL AET

The application submission for Assistant Engineer Trainee is beginning on 20th January 2020 at the PGCIL. The last date of submission of online application is 7th February 2020 within office time. The candidates applying for the AET post will need to pay an examination fee of ₹ 500 within 7th February 2020. However, for SC, ST, PWD, Ex-S candidates, this fee is reduced to ₹ 0. The fee will only be accepted via online payment methods (credit/debit card, netbanking, e-challan) by Power Grid Corporation of India.
