Indian Air Force Airmen X/Y Group Job Description
The Indian Air Force is inviting applications from 12th pass candidates residing in all India for the post of Airmen X/Y Group. There are a few vacancies available for Airmen in IAF. The last date of submission of application for Airmen X/Y Group at IAF is 20th January 2020.
Details of Airmen Indian Air Force Recruitment
The Indian Air Force is offering a few posts of Airmen X/Y Group. The Airmen’s will receive a remuneration of ₹ 26,900 to 33,100 at the Indian Air Force. This will depend upon the merit and experience of the candidate applying for the IAF Airmen.
Reservation-wise division of Airmen IAF jobs
- Group X (Except Education Instructor Trade): 33,100/-
- Group Y (Except Automobile Technician, IAFp, IAFs and Musician) Trades: 26,900/-
The selection process for Airmen will have online written examination and physical fitness test. The candidates will be chosen as per their merit at IAF. The successful candidates in the Airmen X/Y Group post will be placed in various locations throughout all India in various Indian Air Force facilities.
Qualifications for IAF Airmen X/Y Group
The candidates appearing for the post of Airmen at the Indian Air Force must have at least 12th. It is preferable if the candidate is experienced.

| Group Y | Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. |
| Group Y Medical Assistant Trade | Passed 10+2/Intermediate/ equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. |
Physical Standards for IAF Vacancies 2020

All candidates applying for Airmen X/Y Group will need to respect the age limit of 17 to 20 years. All ages are calculated as on 1st January 2020.
Important Information on IAF Airmen
The application submission for Airmen X/Y Group is beginning on 2nd January 2020 at the IAF. The last date of submission of online application is 20th January 2020 within office time. The candidates applying for the Airmen post will need to pay an examination fee of ₹ 200 within 20th January 2020. The fee will only be accepted via online payment methods (credit/debit card, netbanking, Axis bank e-challan) by Indian Air Force.
